The Internal Audit division was established in 1996 as an independent assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the Corporation’s operations.

It is responsible for planning and performing internal audits at the LNDC.  Internal Audit assists management by providing independent and objective analysis of activities and controls.

The division is responsible for examining the policies, procedures and system which are in place to ensure:-

1. Reliability and integrity of  information;

2. Compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations;

3. Safeguarding of assets;

4. Economy and efficient use of resources;

5. Accomplishment of established objectives and goals for operations or programs;

6. Effectiveness of risk management and governance process
