The Investment Promotion Centre was formally incorporated as a division within LNDC in 1992.  This process was carried out with the assistance of the World Bank.  The division’s mandate is generally framed around the LNDC’s overall mandate.

In carrying out its responsibilities the IPC performs the following functions and processes:

  1. Interpretation of national development policies
  2. Research on development opportunities for Lesotho
  3. Development of marketing information and materials for investment promotion programme
  4. Undertaking investment promotion activities
  5. Conducting investment environment analysis
  6. Liaison with key investment promotion stakeholders
